Metropolitan Board Chairman re-appoints John T. Morris to Leadership Committe

In a press release yesterday, Business Wire reported that John T. Morris will once again be representing the city of San Marino as the Vice Chair for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a cooperative of 26 cities and water agencies serving nearly 19 million people in six counties. The district imports water from the Colorado River and Northern California to supplement local supplies, and helps its members to develop increased water conservation, recycling, storage and other resource management programs.

San Marino joined Metropolitan as one of its original cities in December of 1928. The city obtains water through California-American Water Company. Local water is produced from the Raymond and Upper San Gabriel basins, and uses very little MWD water directly. However, the Main San Gabriel groundwater basin is recharged in part by water supplied by Metropolitan.
