San Marino – Broker’s Open House – November 19, 2008

Oh what a busy day this was! Thankfully, even with all my appointments, I was able to take a look at two San Marino homes that just went on the market.

The first estate that I visited was located just North of Huntington Drive next to Lacy Park, Valentine Elementary School, Huntington Middle School and San Marino Public Library.

1603 Charlton Road, San Marino – Offered at $2,800,000

A beautiful and spacious Monterey Colonial with 5 bedrooms and 4 baths and close to 4,500 sq. ft. of interior living space. Nice floor plan and beautiful views off of the 2nd floor balcony. With crown moldings, wood floors, double hung paneled windows, a wide wood staricase, this stately home meets all the requirements of a true San Marino estate. The sprawling lawn with brick pathways and a large patio is a perfect setting for grand parties. Priced at $626 per sq. ft.

This home is listed by Keller Williams Realty.

2811 Cumberland Road, San Marino – Oferred at $2,200,000

What I loved about this home is the fact that it had a fully functional guest house.  Guest houses are so hard to find in San Marino and this one had a full kitchen, bathroom and comfortable living quarters.

This home definitely had its charm, but was priced a bit high for my taste at a whopping $945 per sq. ft.   Buyers that are looking for two homes on a large lot, might find the price tag palatable.  Time will tell.  :-)

The main houses features 2 bedrooms and 3 baths, a beautifully updated kitchen, formal dining room and a library/den.

The lot is huge – 24,282 sq. ft. per real estate agent’s brochure.  This San Marino estate is close to the San Marino High School and shopping.

This home is listed by Coldwell Banker.
