San Marino Dog Park – City Council Meeting
I wrote about Derek Barker’s effort to bring a dog park to San Marino’s Lacy Park. The city council will meet again this Wednesday, December 10, 2008 to discuss this further.
San Marino City Council Meeting will be held at the Crowell Public Library at 7:30 in the Barth Community Meeting room.
The idea of a dog park is to have an off-leash area where dogs can run freely. A dog park is as much a social gathering for people as it is for dogs.
The proposed dog park will be built by the Boy Scouts, high school students and other volunteers and will be housed at the unused maintenance yard within Lacy Park, not too far from the tennis courts.
It will be maintained by the current Lacy Park staff.
